My Story

I have always loved photography. And I equally love the post production process. Whether I'm developing and manipulating  film in a dark room, or adjusting faders for light and contrast on a digital platform - creating something intriguing and beautiful is truly my passion. 

I have been immersed in the Arts my whole life. Growing up I was a competitive studio dancer for 18 years. I have a degree in Film, Television & Radio Production as well as Photography. I worked for 20 years in television while freelancing in film and starting my own photography business. 

Alongside being a photographer, I taught Art at the elementary level where I re-vamped the curriculum to include digital media and theater production. I also coach competitive dance teams for an All Star Dance studio and a local high school in Highlands Ranch...AND you may have guessed it - I take their photographs too :)

I often hear the following words from my clients, "Did you just take our picture? We weren't ready!" I reassure them not to worry - they may find that the moment I captured might be one of their favorites.

For me, the most important part of taking your photograph is knowing that you feel like yourself. Otherwise, who am I capturing? I always try to put my clients at ease and remind them to ALMOST forget that I am there.

The way I look through my lens is that of a documentary photographer. In essence, I look for the moments that happen in between the "on camera" ones. I love capturing those moments in time that are not necessarily posed...and that you never knew you would love.
